De-polarizing a nation through great TV
The Experiment
Set against the backdrop of America's deepening cultural divides, 9 everyday Americans from a real swing-district community are thrust into the heart of a social experiment to see whether we can still democratically solve our problems. These diverse strangers — 3 each from the left, right, and center — are challenged to confront tribal dynamics, warring ideologies, and enormous personal stakes to reach unanimous agreement on how to solve a hot-button social issue in their community using a process called the Citizens Jury.
Our Vision
Our vision is to use the fun and familiar format of reality TV to create a pathway out of our toxic cultural climate towards a brighter future where we can break bread with our neighbors, even when we don’t see eye to eye.
By connecting with the A House Divided, viewers will see in the characters and their struggles that there is often common ground even across the deepest divides, and there are skills they can practice to help them find the connection we all need more of right now.
